Proper names in terminological systems have long attracted the attention of researchers and specialists. And they were not in the focus of philologists and linguists only. Scientists of various professions were interested in such terms. They wrote about them, revealed the secrets of their emergence their scientific names, the reasons for the creation of eponymous terms, and demonstrated various scientific approaches to the analysis of term structures with onyms. The article attempts to review scientific works on terms with eponyms, to indicate the scientific direction in which they exist, the researchers who described them, the principles and methods of studying such lexemes, which have taken a prominent place in the medical field, in the physical and mathematical sciences, in botany, agricultural products, and are also found in technical fields, etc. Many such terms are recorded in the explanatory dictionaries, where researchers mainly take their material, as well as from monographs, collections of scientific works, textbooks, and manuals of a certain scientific direction.
