Analysis identifies conditions for global strong solution existence in compressible micropolar fluids, suggesting independent temperature factors.
We study the Cauchy problem of three-dimensional (3D) compressible non-isentropic micropolar fluid equations with far field vacuum. It is shown that the strong solution exists globally if the density is bounded from above and the velocity and micro-rotation velocity satisfy Serrin’s condition. In particular, our criterion is independent of the temperature and generalize the result of the isentropic case [Chen et al., Nonlinear Anal.: Theory, Methods Appl. 79, 1–11 (2013)]. This paper presents some delicate analysis to exploit the structural characteristic of the system under consideration due to the strong coupling and interplay interaction.
