Qualitative analysis highlights the role of prosecutors in balancing defendant rights and state interests.
The purpose of this journal is to analyze the responsibilities and functions of prosecutors in carrying out their duties in the criminal justice system, with a particular emphasis on the role of prosecutors in ensuring a balance between the rights of suspects or defendants and the interests of the state. Various sources, including judicial practices and legislation, were examined in this study using qualitative methods and descriptive analysis. Although prosecutors have the primary responsibility for prosecuting criminal cases, they also have an obligation to act as guardians of justice, which includes efforts to maintain objectivity, professionalism, and respect for human rights during the judicial process. In practice, prosecutors often face challenges in maintaining a balance between legal and moral demands, especially in cases involving public interest.
