This article demonstrates deformation monitoring in floating constructions using laser tracker data, highlighting unique challenges.
This article deals with some features of floating constructions deformation monitoring using coordinate method. The main one in this work is that of polar measurements using laser tracker and free station. Short review of data processing techniques for deformation analysis with free station polar measurements is given. Applying an absolute laser tracker for high precision geodetic monitoring in the unstable area is briefly described. As an example of unstable floating construction the reconstructed vessel is chosen. Definite unique features of data processing due to instability of geodetic network are analyzed and some disadvantages of the said methods are marked. A conclusion on possibility of described approach in relation to chosen object type are formulated
