The article is devoted to the study of the organization of one-way traffic in the central parts of cities as a tool for optimizing traffic flows. The advantages and disadvantages of one-way traffic, its impact on transport infrastructure, ecology and quality of life of citizens are considered. Practical recommendations for the implementation of one-way traffic are proposed, taking into account inter-national experience and modern technologies.
