Artificial Intelligence (AI) holds significant potential to transform education and the teaching–learning process. This study, grounded in a comprehensive review of academic literature sourced from Dialnet, WOS, and Scopus, along with an analysis of various AI technologies and a feasibility assessment for classroom implementation, aims to propose a set of guidelines to encourage primary education teachers to use AI ethically and effectively in the classroom. The analysis reveals that tools such as chatbots and Learning Management Systems (LMS) are both cost-effective and easily implementable. Furthermore, AI is shown to enhance personalised learning and streamline administrative and instructional tasks. However, findings also underscore the need for targeted teacher training and careful attention to data privacy, in order to promote a responsible and ethical use of AI among students.
