Clinical study shows reduced operative time by 24.3 minutes with 3D planning in 30 patients, suggesting enhanced surgical accuracy.
Anterior mandibular fractures present a unique challenge due to complex curvature and aesthetic demands. Thirty patients with isolated anterior mandibular fractures were prospectively divided into two groups. Group B demonstrated significantly reduced operative time (68.3 ą 8.9 minutes vs. 92.6 ą 10.4 minutes, p < 0.001) and fewer intraoperative adjustments. Complication rates were lower in Group B, though not statistically significant. Thus, 3D virtual planning and printing enhance surgical accuracy and reduce operative time in anterior mandibular fixation.
