Observational analysis shows phosphorus impacts soil P fractions in alluvial soil, suggesting important agronomy insights.
AbstractKnowledge of different types of phosphorus found in soil is essential for both agronomy and environmental sciences, as it allows for identifying the bioavailability and mobility of phosphorus in the soil. Evaluation of the impact of P and Zn on concentration of different forms of P in alluvial soil with cotton crop has been focus in this study. In both locations, P had a significant effect, whereas Zn and the P× Zn interaction had no significant effect on P fractions. At locations A, B and pooled, the maximum saloid-P (3.48 kg ha-1, 2.63 kg ha-1 and 3.05 kg ha-1), Al-P (14.61 kg ha-1, 9.91 kg ha-1 and 12.26 kg ha-1), Fe-P (2.95 kg ha-1, 2.81 kg ha-1and 2.88 kg ha-1) and Ca-P (300.03 kg ha-1, 140.26 kg ha-1and 220.15 kg ha-1) were recorded using P30Zn5. Phosphorus and soil P fractions showed positive correlation values, but Zn exposure resulted in negative correlation values.
