This system modifies headlight brightness to reduce glare for passing vehicles, improving road safety.
Safety measures increasing day by day mainly in automobile industry. One of the major problems in automobile industry is the glare effect caused by bright headlights during night driving, this causes temporary blindness to drivers and leads to accidents. This paper’s goal is to build and implement an “Ambient Light Activated Headlight System with Obstacle Alert and Side Path illumination” that improves road safety by diminishing glare for approaching and passing vehicles while maintaining the driver’s best possible visibility. In order to reduce driver distraction and avoid collisions, the system will automatically modify the headlight brightness in based on the light conditions outside and the distance to other cars, so it can Reduce glare while maintaining optimal visibility Also, the vehicle is provided with buzzer and side lights, as when the main head lights of the both vehicles are decreased, they will be unable to view the side ways of their opposite vehicle hence, the side lights help the driver for clear view on side way when the main headlight illumination is decreased. Buzzer for making sound when there is obstacle at pre-set distance to make the driver and obstacle alert, mainly for animals at night time it enhances night driving safety & improved road visibility, Through the use of sensors, microcontrollers, and intelligent algorithms, this paper aims to create a convenient, energy-efficient solution that improves night driving and overall driving experience.
