Topic modeling reveals research trends in eco-friendly practices and sustainability, indicating key gaps.
As the world focuses more on sustainability, businesses are adopting eco-friendly practices, leading to a rise in academic research on this topic. However, there is still limited clarity on recent research trends and gaps. This study uses Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to analyze abstracts of academic papers on eco-friendly business published between 2022 and 2024, collected from the Scopus database. The analysis identifies five main research areas: industrial applications, sustainable innovation, green technologies, eco-friendly agriculture, and the social and managerial aspects of sustainability. The findings highlight well-studied topics such as corporate sustainability and environmental management, while also revealing less-explored areas, such as the social effects of green business practices.
