Quantitative analysis revealed improved academic achievement in Cambodian undergraduate EFL students, indicating Microsoft Teams enhances learning experiences.
This study investigated the effects of Microsoft Teams on Cambodian undergraduate EFL students' academic achievements at a public university in the northwest of Cambodia and identified the students’ opinions toward the use of Microsoft Teams. A quantitative method was utilized to collect both secondary and primary data in this study. 31 undergraduate EFL students, majoring in English Literature were purposely selected to evaluate their academic achievements after employing Microsoft Teams in their classes. The results revealed that students’ academic achievement improved after using Microsoft Teams in their learning process. Additionally, the students reported in the survey questions that they had positive opinions toward the use of Microsoft Teams. It can be concluded that using Microsoft Teams in the educational curriculum improves students’ academic achievement, makes teaching and learning more efficient, and is a good implementation if educational institutions are able to include Microsoft Teams in other courses at any level of educational programs.
