Proposed method improves noise immunity and maintains channel count in consumer GNSS equipment against spoofing attacks.
The article discusses the characteristics of noise immunity of consumer navigation equipment (GPS) of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) under the influence of a spoofing attack. A method is proposed to protect the equipment from spoofing attacks, through the implementation of which a given level of correct functioning of the equipment is maintained. During the application of the method, the number of channels for receiving navigation signals does not decrease, and no significant computational load is imposed. Goal – increasing the probability of correct functioning of the low-channel GNSS network under the influence of spoofing attacks. The characteristics of the functioning of the GNSS search and detection system under the influence of spoofing attacks are given. The vulnerability characteristics of the navigation signal search and detection system, probabilistic characteristics of the functioning of consumer equipment in conditions of spoofing attacks are given. A method has been developed to protect the low-channel GNSS network from spoofing attacks. According to the research results, the probability of correct functioning of a small-channel multi-system GNSS system has been increased due to the development of a method of protection against spoofing attacks. The results can be used by experts in the field of satellite radio navigation in the development of protection systems against covert intentional impact.
