The research aims to identify the features of the essential aspects, primarily thematic and stylistic, of the artistic world in the lyric poetry of the modern Crimean Tatar poet Ablyaziz Veliev. The scientific novelty of this publication lies in the detailed analysis of the author’s characteristic poetic works, which allows for a clearer understanding of the unique development of traditional motifs inherent in Crimean Tatar poetry in his work. The results obtained showed that patriotic motifs are particularly prominent in the poet’s lyrics. At the same time, his creative manner is characterized by the interaction and interpenetration of diverse thematic aspects: the joy of returning with his native people to their ancestral land is combined with anxious concerns about their future fate, the persona of the author’s works advocates for the strengthening of national unity, and the preservation and development of the language and culture of the Crimean Tatars. Often, these and other thematic aspects are linked in A. Veliev’s poems to an emotional understanding of the mysteries of poetic creation. The originality of the author’s artistic style is manifested in the intonational diversity, unobtrusive meditativeness, plasticity, and melodiousness of his poetic speech. These features are inextricably linked to the specifics of versification, which is mainly traditional for Eastern, including Crimean Tatar, poetry.
