Conductometry measures electrical conductivity in sodium carboxymethylcellulose and calcium chloride solutions, indicating potential biomedical applications.
In our research described here, we created a mixture of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) with calcium chloride (CaCl2) in an aqueous media medium. The biopolymer sodium carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) and calcium chloride (CaCl2) are reviewed in this article as adaptable biomaterials for tissue engineering applications, analgesia and arthritis therapy, as well as possible drug delivery systems. NaCMC and calcium chloride CaCl2, as natural antimicrobial agents, can be applied in biomedical, biotechnological and pharmaceutical applications. Its antimicrobial activity depends on many factors, such as its molecular size, source, associated components, concentration and type of microorganism. In addition, in our research described here, we prepared and characterised the electrical conductivity and the Conductometry properties of a biopolymer material based on NaCMC/CaCl2 in solution. The electrical conductivities were measured under the influence of an increasing NaCMC concentration of 1 to 10 g/l and an increasing temperature of 288.15 to 318.15 K.
