Survey reveals teachers' and students' perspectives on educational games in Vietnamese language, suggesting improvements in motivation.
In the context of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Vietnamese primary education emphasizes both knowledge acquisition and competency development. Teaching words and sentences in Grade 3 is essential for enhancing students’ linguistic competence but often proves abstract and less engaging. This study surveyed 14 teachers and 226 students in Thai Nguyen province to explore perceptions and practices of using learning games. Based on findings, the paper proposes several educational games designed in accordance with the 2018 General Education Program, aiming to foster student motivation and provide practical resources for teachers in Vietnamese language teaching.
