Survey reveals current teaching practices among third-grade students, indicating a need for pedagogical measures.
Developing group work skills for students holds particular significance in the context of educational reform in Vietnam today, as this foundational skill provides the basis for shaping and enhancing students’ communication and collaboration competencies. We conducted a survey with 18 teachers and 208 third-grade students in Hoang Mai District, Hanoi, to investigate the current state of teaching practices related to this skill. Based on the findings, we propose several practical pedagogical measures to foster group work skills among third-grade students, thereby contributing to improving the quality of Vietnamese language instruction in primary schools and meeting the requirements of the new general education curriculum.
