This framework optimizes system architecture using historical document data, highlighting genetic algorithms for verification.
This study proposes a modeling and validation framework for optimization of complex systems that utilizes the value of enterprise historical document data to achieve efficient and optimized system architecture modeling in a current model‐based design environment. First, a matter‐element model‐based method is presented to model historical design cases that exist as documents, and a similarity calculation method is developed to obtain alternative cases for new requirements. Second, a chromosome stratification genetic algorithm is developed to combine and adapt similar cases for optimization of the system architecture according to the logical structure of the system. Subsequently, a closed‐loop approach is demonstrated to provide methods and tools for verification of system requirements based on the relationship with similar instance models. Finally, an armored vehicle system is developed as a case study. The results show that the proposed method can improve the system architecture modeling efficiency and comprehensively optimize the cost and efficiency of system development based on the experience developed in similar cases.
