This research reveals oxidative stress induced by titanium dioxide nanoparticles in human fibroblast cells, indicating important lipid parameter changes.
Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) find widespread application in both industrial and consumer goods, encompassing sectors such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, and more. This study investigated redox state parameters and lipid peroxidation parameter in human fibroblast cells treated with different concentrations of NPs. The NPs used included bare TiO2 and TiO2 modified with salicylic acid (SA). The parameter values were compared both with the control group and among the treated groups. Obtained results showed that all investigated NPs promoted oxidative stress in human fibroblast cells.
