This analysis highlights the role of aesthetics in enhancing social work's cognitive experience and moral improvement.
In the multidisciplinary postulation of the sciense of social work, the philosophical discipline of aesthetics, which studies the concept of beautiful and artistic creation, is not sufficiently present considering the potential significance, of its cognitive experience for dis specific humanistic field. Therefore, this text aims to highlight the importance of aesthetics and the necessity, too apply it in the future theoretical and methodological shaping of it by considering the concepts on which the universal activity of social work is founded. The application of dialectic, hermeneutic, analitical-semantic, and analogical mapping methods results in the contents of the text, from which it can be concluded that the very essence of social work is its human-creative artistic nature, thanks to which man and his existential circumstances are reshaped and changed. The constitutive elements of the specific humanly applied art of social work are merging the beautiful and the good, refining those human imperfections that nature has not perfected, and the active relationship of man to the existing fatum of his existence, which all result in the ultimate goal of mans humanization, i.e., his moral improvement.
