New grinding method enhances removal rate and sphericity in ceramic ball production, indicating potential industrial applications.
In this paper a new grinding method utilizing magnetic fluid, magnets, abrasive grains and a float is introduced for the grinding of ceramic balls. It is clarified that the float is very effective in increasing the removal rate and the float is also effective for producing smooth surface and better sphericity of ceramic balls.
