This research demonstrates a dual-band rectifier improving efficiency in wireless power transmission and energy harvesting. Efficient control of harmonics improves performance.
In this study, an efficient dual‐band rectifier based on a novel dual‐band class‐F harmonic control network is proposed for wireless power transmission (WPT) and energy harvesting (EH). This structure shapes the diode voltage into a square waveform and the diode current into a half‐sinusoidal waveform, effectively controlling the second and third harmonics of the two target frequencies. This manipulation enables efficient class‐F operation which can improve the performance of the rectifier. A dual‐band class‐F rectifier based on Schottky diode BAT15‐03W was fabricated and measured at target frequencies of 2.45 and 3.5 GHz. The measured results show that the peak PCE of the dual‐band rectifier is 72.2% and 72.6% at 2.38 and 3.66 GHz, respectively, at a load resistance of 800 Ω. Meanwhile, the rectifier has a wide dynamic range and a compact size of 24 × 28.5 mm 2 .
