This system demonstrates improved fault diagnosis and operational efficiency in drilling units, suggesting enhanced safety.
A drilling unit online monitoring fault intelligent diagnosis system has been developed to address practical problems such as the lack of a dedicated online monitoring fault intelligent diagnosis system, long-term vibration exceeding standards, unsafe and wasteful use of electrical energy, and easy shutdown and cessation of drilling work. The system mainly consists of five parts: detection sensors, collectors, multi port repeaters, online monitoring units, and remote monitoring units. By real-time monitoring of parameters such as vibration, speed, and oil temperature of the drilling unit, online and remote monitoring of the unit’s operating status, timely diagnosis of fault results, and provision of predictive maintenance guidance have been achieved, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the drilling unit, extending the period of fault free use, avoiding unplanned shutdowns during the drilling process, saving operating and management costs, and improving drilling work efficiency. By 2024, it has been applied in 10 drilling units, extending the operating life of drilling units, reducing unexpected shutdown accidents of drilling equipment, improving the operating efficiency of drilling units, and meeting the requirements of green and digital development of drilling.
