Analysis reveals key factors in sand production from oil wells, indicating critical control measures.
Sand production from oil wells is one of the common problems in the development process of loose sandstone reservoirs, which not only affects the overall development situation of the oilfield, but also costs a lot of manpower and material resources for research and prevention. To address this issue, it is necessary to sample and analyze sand samples from sand producing wells. By analyzing the particle size and mineral composition of the sand sample, combined with static data such as porosity, permeability, and mud content of the well, the source of sand production is determined. Based on this, combined with dynamic development data of sand production wells such as production pressure difference, oil recovery rate, rate of water content, and production enhancement measures, the dynamic rules of sand production are analyzed, and the causes and main control factors of sand production wells are studied to meet the demand of mastering sand production rules in the later stage of oilfield development.
