Proposed FIR filter design offers precise frequency response in signal processing, indicating reduced complexity.
In this paper an efficient and novel FIR filter design using frequency sampling method is proposed where the desired frequency response is defined analytically. The desired specifications such as cutoff frequency and pass band can be precisely defined in advance. In comparison with results reported in the literature, this technique provides better performance in terms of computational complexity and filter specifications where maximum stop band attenuation of 38.80 dB and 31.44 dB are achieved for filter order equals to 20 and 30 respectively. .
