A novel method demonstrates real-time measurement and calibration of roll-formed parts, indicating high precision essential for production efficiency.
In the context of the increasing demand for high integration and automated production in modern industry, the precision of the size and shape of roll-formed structural parts, which are key components in the production process, is of crucial importance with regard to product quality and production efficiency. In order to meet this demand, a binocular multi-line structured light three-dimensional online measurement method for roll-formed parts is proposed. This method enables the real-time monitoring of the outer contour size of complex cross-sections, the calculation of the spatial pose relationship of multiple measurement head coordinate systems, the design of in-situ measurement and in-situ calibration of magnetic suction stereoscopic targets for online calibration, and the application of back-projection for calibration point screening. Subsequently, three-dimensional reconstruction is performed on the collected multi-structured light images to obtain point cloud data, and an optimization objective function is constructed to calculate the cross-sectional contour size. Finally, a digital safety intelligent calibration certificate system is designed to provide a more convenient and reliable means of measuring the size of roll-formed parts. Experimental comparison results demonstrate that the proposed binocular multi-line structured light three-dimensional online measurement technology has an error rate of less than 0.02%, which can meet the fast online measurement needs of multi-size three-dimensional structures of roll-formed workpieces, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and market position of enterprises.
