Genome assembly reveals 94.26 megabases in Viscum album, highlighting its chromosomal structures and evolutionary significance.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Viscum album</ns3:italic> (European mistletoe; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Santalales; Viscaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 94 261.04 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.67%) is scaffolded into 49 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the B<ns3:sub>1</ns3:sub> chromosome. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.</ns3:p>
