Genome assembly reveals 297.68 megabases in Acasis viretata, highlighting chromosome structures and mitochondrial DNA.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Acasis viretata</ns3:italic> (Yellow-barred Brindle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The genome sequence has a total length of 297.68 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.98%) is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.01 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.</ns3:p>
