Genome assembly presents 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules in Acleris ferrugana, indicating genetic complexity.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Acleris ferrugana</ns3:italic> (Tawny Oak Tortrix; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Tortricidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 480.03 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.03%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.58 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.</ns3:p>
