The main objective of the current study is to identify how the strategy for procurement 4.0 (P4.0) effects organizational sustainability performance (OSP) under technological uncertain environments. To achieve the study objective, we surveyed large-scale manufacturing firms. The data were collected through structured questionnaires. A total of 397 supply chain professionals were the study respondents. Structural equation modeling (SEM) strategy through AMOS-24 was used to analyze the collected data. The findings revealed a positive relationship between P4.0 strategy and sustainable organizational performance. Moreover, results also revealed significant moderating role of technological environment uncertainty (TEU). Drawing upon Resource Orchestration Theory (ROT), the paper proposes that P4.0 strategy serves as a strategic enabler of sustainability. However, under conditions of high TEU, the effectiveness of P4.0 strategy in achieving sustainable outcomes may vary. A conceptual model and hypotheses are presented to guide future empirical research.
