Study reveals Gd3+ substitution optimizes gyromagnetic properties in LiZnTi ferrites, suggesting implications for microwave devices.
In this study, a comprehensive analysis of the impact of Gd 3+ substitution on the microstructure and gyromagnetic properties of Li 0.43 Zn 0.27 Ti 0.13 Gd x Fe 2.17− x O 4 ( x = 0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, and 0.10) ferrites. The X‐ray diffraction results demonstrated that the samples maintained a single‐phase spinel structure when x ≤ 0.04. When x ≥ 0.06, both the spinel phase and the GdFeO 3 phase were observed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results revealed that Gd 3+ substitution markedly improved the grain densification. From a magnetic perspective, (4π M s ) improved from 3895.9 to 3940 Gs, and the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth (Δ H ) reduced from 404.6 to 270 Oe. Our results suggested that Gd 3+ substitution is a viable approach to optimizing the gyromagnetic properties in LiZnTi ferrites, which is important for microwave device applications.
