Discussion

Scale development measures talent development environment in football, indicating its significance in player performance.

The study proposes a six-dimensional scale for measuring talent development environment in football, enhancing understanding of key factors involved.
The scale, developed from data of 551 young football talents, demonstrates sound psychometric properties and model fit metrics.
Methodologies include exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, ensuring comprehensive validation of the new scale.
The findings support the need for further validation across diverse socio-cultural backgrounds and different football contexts.

Xia et al. (2025) studied this question.
