This study examines patient experiences with a 64 mT portable MRI, highlighting comfort and usability.
Motivation: The study addresses the understanding of patient experiences with low-field MRI, which is critical for optimizing comfort and a better patient experience. Goal(s): The goal was to assess participant experiences with a 64 mT portable MRI (Hyperfine swoop). Approach: A web-based questionnaire (REDCap) collected data on demographics, short-term effects, and perceptions of the procedure. The data were descriptively analyzed. Results: The study found that the 64 mT portable MRI was generally well-received. Despite some minor concerns, the portable MRI was successful in providing a safe and generally comfortable experience, meeting the study's goal of evaluating patient perceptions. Impact: This study highlights the patient experience with portable low-field MRI, providing valuable insights for improving comfort and usability. Its findings can be of guidance in optimizing procedures, and inspire further research on enhancing portable MRI technology for broader clinical use.
