This analysis evaluates imaging techniques for pulmonary lesions, highlighting MRI's potential and key strategies.
Motivation: MRI can detect pulmonary lesions, but its efficacy and the optimal method need further confirmation. Goal(s): To evaluate the feasibility of MRI for different types of pulmonary lesions and optimize protocol selection. Approach: Assess the diagnostic performance of various MRI protocols in detecting pulmonary lesions. Results: Standard body MRI protocols are effective in detecting pulmonary lesions, with the respiratory-triggered 3D Zero Echo Time (Rtr 3D ZTE) sequence providing imaging most comparable to CT. Impact: This study provides guidance on MRI scanning strategies for pulmonary lesions, recommending the respiratory-gated 3D ZTE sequence as the primary choice for subsolid lesions.
