Innovative brain mapping technique reveals cortical and subcortical patterns in infants, indicating crucial developmental insights.
Motivation: The precision brain mapping for infants could serve as fundamental tools for understanding the brain developmental regulation during the first 2 years in life. However, individualized infant brain atlas and fine age-resolution, patially continuous baby brain connectome atlas are still lacking. Goal(s): We aim to construct precision connectome atlas in infants, at both the individual and finely aged group levels. Approach: We used brainnetome atlas construction methodology and individualization technique to discovery the spatial pattern and the number of subregions of infant brains. Results: We have achieved precise cortical and subcortical parcellation in infants at both individual level and finely aged group level. Impact: We provide a refined atlas of cortical and subcortical segmentations at both the individual and finely aged group levels for infants and toddlers, offering an essential foundational and common tool for pediatric brain image analysis and brain development research.
