This analysis explores HR-3D-VW-MRI’s role in improving diagnostic accuracy for primary angiitis in patients, suggesting transformative insights in imaging techniques.
Motivation: Primary angiitis of the central nervous system (PACNS) is a rare and challenging disease to diagnose and HR-3D-VW-MRI is helpful for its diagnosis and assessment. Goal(s): This study aims to summarize the standard imaging features of PACNS and explore the value of HR-3D-VW-MRI sequences for PACNS. Approach: Patients with PACNS underwent conventional magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and HR-3D-VW-MRI examinations, with the results interpreted by experienced radiologists. Results: PACNS primarily manifests as segmental, uniform, concentric thickening of the affected vessel walls with enhancement. HR-3D-VW-MRI provides more comprehensive information than traditional methods. Impact: This study significantly improved the diagnostic accuracy of Primary Angiitis of the Central Nervous System (PACNS) and provided a new effective tool for monitoring disease progression by using high-resolution 3D-VW-MRI technology.
