Nigeria's power sector faces persistent challenges in ensuring a dependable and stable energy supply, impacting economic growth and quality of life. Renewable energy, particularly solar systems, presents a promising avenue for addressing these challenges. This paper explores the role of solar energy systems in improving the reliability and stability of Nigeria’s power supply schemes. The study examines the current state of solar systems integration, assessing its contributions to rural electrification and urban development. It further analyzes the economic and cost benefits of successful solar adoption while highlighting challenges such as infrastructure deficits, regulatory bottlenecks, and financial constraints.
