This review highlights strategies for maintaining academic integrity in education, indicating challenges posed by AI technologies.
Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have presented significant challenges to traditional educational paradigms, posing previously unheard-of concerns regarding academic integrity andauthentic learning assessment. In response to these developments, educators and educational institutions have been compelled to reassess how they evaluate students’ performance and comprehension. Strong frameworks to ensure authentic learning experiences are more important than ever as AI systems facilitate information access and provide support. A significant challenge for educators worldwide in this rapidly changing environment is striking a balance between academic standards and the integration of AI tools. To create educational systems resistant to AI,this review examines several primary strategies: comprehensive policies that ban AI, AI detection tools, curriculum redesign tactics, phased implementation policies,AI watermarking systems, and curriculum transformation techniques. To assess the efficacy, viability, and implications of each approach, we examine recent studies and institutional procedures. According to our research, there is no single, all-encompassing solution for AI-resistant education; rather, it necessitates a combination of technological advancements, policy frameworks, pedagogical innovations, and cultural changes that support real-world assessment methods.
