Analysis demonstrates the impact of speed mode on grain quality in cleaning technology, suggesting improvements.
Ensuring high quality requirements for indented grain cleaning directly depends on the correct choice of the rotation frequency of the cellular cylinder for a specific amount of grain mixture fed to the indented cylinder. The article assesses the compliance of the requirements for indented grain cleaning technologies with the state of knowledge of indented grain cleaning processes. It has been established that there are no objective prerequisites for the scientific validity of high quality requirements for indented grain cleaning technologies: the experimental base does not ensure the reproducibility of experimental conditions for the composition of grain mixtures; visual control of processes inside the cellular cylinder is not provided; there are no possibilities for long-term stabilization of the process when changing experimental conditions. Experimental equipment, means of objective process control and private methods that eliminate the above-mentioned shortcomings are proposed. A nonlinear relationship between the intensity of grain separation of the main crop and the speed mode of the indented cylinder is confirmed. The relationships between technological losses due to descent and the size of the free section of the cellular surface, which is the cause of random losses and risks of increasing residual contamination of grain, and the rotation frequency of the indented cylinder are established. Recommendations for activating the axial displacement of circulating layers in the cylinder when it is tilted to the horizon along the material flow are substantiated. The lack of continuity of circulating layers of grains of the main crop at the final section of the cellular cylinder at overestimated speed modes can be compensated for by an impurity component. The range of rational working speeds is substantiated by quality indicators.
