Quasi-optimal methods improve synchronization in phase-locked loop systems, suggesting efficiency in control voltage management.
Problem statement. One of the main problems of radio electronics is the generation of highly stable electrical oscillations. The complexity of the hardware implementation of direct frequency synthesis devices (the high cost of manufacturing frequency multipliers and mixers, the impossibility of obtaining an oscillation with a frequency value that varies during operation) does not allow them to be widely used in practice. Therefore, when designing real radio electronic systems, synthesizers of stable electrical oscillations based on a phase-locked frequency (PLL) system are used. The work is devoted to the development and research of radio engineering systems that improve performance characteristics. Based on the analysis, the task of synthesizing the PLL structure with a single-link smoothing RC filter is set with the requirement of a minimum control voltage power. Goal. Synthesis of a PLL system using near-optimal solutions to extreme problems such as optimal performance while requiring minimal control voltage power. Results. The paper considers the conditions that made it possible to propose a simplified PLL system model with a single-link smoothing RC filter. It is used in the formulation of the problem of structural synthesis of radio synchronization systems, formalized as the task of synthesizing control by the criterion of speed with a limitation on the power of the control voltage. It is shown that a promising direction in the design of synchronization systems is the application of quasi-optimal solutions to extreme problems such as control synthesis. A method for solving problems of high-speed synchronization systems with a single-link smoothing RC filter has been developed. An example is considered that demonstrates its operability and effectiveness in solving synchronization problems for PLL systems operating in frequency capture mode. Practical significance. Practical limitations of the application of the obtained results have been established. Possible ways of overcoming them are indicated.
