A proposed SSMF-HCF-SSMF interconnection achieves low splicing-loss and minimal back-reflection.
We propose a new solid-core to hollow-core fiber (HCF) interconnection method to avoid the angle-cleaving of HCF. An SSMF-HCF-SSMF interconnection is achieved with ˂1.6 dB splicing-loss (˂ 0.8 dB per point) and -55 dB back-reflection.
