Demonstration of low-threshold topological laser enabling flexible beam steering in soft-matter systems.
A low-threshold circularly-polarized topological laser is demonstrated, in a verticalcavity surface-emitting geometry of one-dimensional optical superlattice (stacked polymerized cholesteric-liquid crystals and Mylar films). Such a laser exhibits unique features, particularly in flexible beam steering.
