This research investigates radiative corrections impacting electroweak observables, suggesting strong constraints on scalar masses and gauge bosons.
We investigate radiative corrections to electroweak precision observables, specifically the Peskin-Takeuchi parameters <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:mrow><a:mi>S</a:mi></a:mrow></a:math>, <c:math xmlns:c="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><c:mrow><c:mi>T</c:mi></c:mrow></c:math>, and <e:math xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><e:mi>U</e:mi></e:math>, in the <g:math xmlns:g="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><g:mi>S</g:mi><g:mi>U</g:mi><g:mo stretchy="false">(</g:mo><g:mn>3</g:mn><g:msub><g:mo stretchy="false">)</g:mo><g:mi>C</g:mi></g:msub><g:mo>×</g:mo><g:mi>S</g:mi><g:mi>U</g:mi><g:mo stretchy="false">(</g:mo><g:mn>3</g:mn><g:msub><g:mo stretchy="false">)</g:mo><g:mi>L</g:mi></g:msub><g:mo>×</g:mo><g:mi>U</g:mi><g:mo stretchy="false">(</g:mo><g:mn>1</g:mn><g:msub><g:mo stretchy="false">)</g:mo><g:mi>X</g:mi></g:msub></g:math> model (also known as the 331 model) with <o:math xmlns:o="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><o:mi>β</o:mi><o:mo>=</o:mo><o:mo>−</o:mo><o:msqrt><o:mn>3</o:mn></o:msqrt></o:math>. Using the and heno packages, we compute the mass spectrum and low-energy observables. We show that these parameters place strong constraints on the model, requiring most of the scalar masses to lie in the TeV range or below, and impose indirect bounds on the newly predicted gauge bosons. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the model can accommodate the <q:math xmlns:q="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><q:mi>W</q:mi></q:math> boson mass anomaly reported by the CDF Collaboration, should future measurements confirm its persistence.
