Qualitative analysis reveals collaboration between agrosciences and ecological economics is key to promoting agricultural sustainability.
The article seeks to explore how modern agricultural practices can align with the principles of ecological economics to foster sustainable and efficient production systems. A qualitative methodology was employed, involving the search for analytical categories in recognized databases and the application of the PRISMA methodology to identify emerging categories. The main conclusion is that collaboration between ecological economics and agrosciences is crucial to address current agricultural challenges. By merging economic and scientific approaches, more sustainable and equitable agricultural systems can be promoted, biodiversity preserved, soil degradation mitigated, and resources secured for future generations. This multidisciplinary integration offers a promising pathway to address economic and environmental challenges, ensuring agriculturally and environmentally sustainable development in both the present and the future.
