Quantitative analysis found emotional intelligence influences project success, indicating project commitment as a key mediator.
The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of Emotional Intelligence (EI) on Project Success (PS) in a private telecom environment, with Project Commitment (PC) as mediator and Project Complexity (PX) as moderator. While EI is important for team members, it does not always ensure PS. This study explores how project teams’ EI impacts PS through the mediating role of PC, and how PX weakens this effect. A quantitative research design was adopted using a survey questionnaire, with responses from 282 employees across various organizations. Data were analyzed using Andrew F. Hayes Model 7 in SPSS. The findings highlight the significance of EI in telecom project management, emphasizing the mediating role of PC and the moderating effect of PX.
