Observational analysis revealed a strong link between work environment and job satisfaction in teachers, indicating gender differences in experiences.
People are very happy to have a job however many of them no longer experience that their workplace is a second home, although much of their time is spent inside the workplace. This often leads them to feel forced to accommodate with the uncomfortable environment. The Present study examined the relationship between work environment and job satisfaction among higher secondary school teachers. Total N=200 teachers with equal distribution of Male (N=100) and Female (N=100) teachers were recruited from different schools of Faisalabad city. The result of current study demonstrated that there is very high impact of work environment on job satisfaction (.67, p<.001). There is significant different between gender difference. Female faces more work environment pressure and has lower job satisfaction than male. (M=63.01, SD=33.43, t=3.64 p<.001). The implication of current study is wider as it helps in organization setting to reduce the stress environment for women as well as for men to get good level of job satisfaction.
