This analysis identifies the role of pragmalinguistic mechanisms in literary primitivism, highlighting its impact on poetic communication from the Baroque period to the digital era.
The study aims to identify the pragmalinguistic mechanisms for implementing of the literary primitivism strategy within German poetic discourse from the Baroque period to the digital era. The study is novel in that it is the first time that the strategy of literary primitivism is examined as an integrated pragmalinguistic system aimed at achieving a communicative effect. The article establishes genetic links between conventional primitivist mechanisms that are characterized by the use of dialectal forms and the appropriation of a mystical worldview and their modern modified variants, which are explicated through intertextual collage techniques and algorithmically generated texts. The interpretation of litter poetry as a logical transformation of Dada art and postmodernist experiments is substantiated. As a result, the study showed that the strategy of literary primitivism constitutes: a complex of pragmalinguistic tactics aimed at subverting the conventional norms of poetic communication; аn effective instrument of speech influence that provokes the recipient into active interpretation, compelling them to decode hidden meanings behind the apparent “naivety” of the utterance; а universal mechanism of critique, whose function has evolved from theological reflection in the Baroque period to a meta-linguistic commentary on the essence of digital communication in the modern era.
