Iron-catalysed method demonstrates efficient site-selective C–H amination in arylamines, indicating a novel mechanism.
An iron-catalysed protocol for site-selective aromatic C–H N-CD 3 amination is reported. The iron-aminyl radical is proposed as the key intermediate that facilitates homolytic aromatic substitution through chelation with basic functional groups.
