The study reveals communication patterns in space missions, highlighting critical styles and adaptation strategies.
The paper presents the results of studying dynamics of the crew-to-MCC open channel communication in long-duration space missions (SM) using modified content-analysis of transcripts. Structure of cosmonauts’ communication comprises critical periods associated with adaptation to the persistent SM stress factors. The ground control team should be aware of and know how to identify three communication styles the crews switch to in certain situations, and react appropriately.
