Proposed integral imaging system enhances depth of field using microlens array and mirrors, indicating improved 3D visualization.
An integral imaging (InIm) 3D display system with enhanced depth of field is proposed. The system consists of two display panels, a microlens array (MLA), a semi‐transparent mirror (STM), and a transmissive mirror device (TMD). Since the distance between the 2D display panel and the STM is different, the reconstructed 3D images are located in different depth planes, which achieves the extension of depth of field (DOF). The experimental results demonstrate the validity of our proposed system.
