Case report details tumor growth and imaging evidence in a renal carcinoma patient, implying natural progression.
Abstract This article reports a case of renal tumor monitored dynamically by imaging for 54 months. The patient initially presented with a 5.67 mm lesion in the lower pole of the left kidney. After 5 years of follow-up, the tumor was observed to exhibit progressive growth (average annual growth rate: 2.23 mm/year), and was ultimately confirmed as clear cell renal cell carcinoma by pathology. This study provides clinical evidence for the natural growth pattern of renal tumors.
